Being in suffering

Since my early twenties I knew I would love to help people to be better equipped, and to work with them in everyday situations, and challenges. Although I had attended 3 different schools and 3 different carriers, I knew I was in the right track. All three equipped me to learn to be a humble helper.
For more than 20 years I have been working as teacher and a freelancer writer and editor with publishing houses and Christian ministries around the American Continent and Spain. But, from all the assignments that I did, let me tell you that the report that I had to write to give strengths to the ones who survive the 9/11, to the communities and to the relatives of the dead ones, was the hardest of all.
There I was, nearby, at that time. I had the task to gather and interview missionaries, so later I will be able to write to the Hispanic audience around the world about their jobs, and motivate them to be collaborators in this field.
Believe me, from all the stories that I had to tell, this one "the 9/11" was the most dramatic, devastated, and incredible. Words were not enough, neither helpful. I just fell down on my knees and stayed paralyzed. Words could not come up. But it was in that moment when my great passion and motivation came from the Lord Jesus Christ, who saved me, and equipped me to serve the nedded and gave me wisdom and strength to deal not only with the struggles of the every day of life, but also with the horrible and painful ones when you have to deny yourself in order to reach another human being in real pain. I thank God, and the example of Jesus who gave the courage to help the needed.
